Moving, kicking and partying:)

It’s amazing! Mommy is loving it so much!
We saw your kicks on the outside of my belly for the first time! It happened a couple of  days ago.

You are growing and becoming very active! You are mostly active in the evenings and before going to bed. And at night. While mommy is actually trying to sleep, you seem to have a party in there.

And today I went to the dentist to get my cavity feelings treated. Oh my God! You got crazy in there. I don’t know if you were scared and protecting yourself. Maybe you didn’t like the sound of the machine. But you were going crazy. You were moving and kicking all over my tommy. Poor baby. I am sorry for making you go through all this. But mommy had to take care of her teeth. Love you!

First game

My pregnancy is becoming more and more interesting every day! You are growing and I can track your position in my tommy. I can feel you moving, changing location. Besides you are starting to play with me. When I feel you moving I slightly press on my belly  with my palm  and you respond with a kick. It’s so much fun!!! It’s an incredible feeling!

Coffee drinker. Just like your daddy:)

Baby, you are changing my habits! I could never call myself a coffee drinker before. I would rarely drink coffee. It’s not that I didn’t like it but because I wouldn’t feel well after (it didn’t work well for my stomach).
But it’s been about 2 weeks that I can’t imagine my morning without a cup of coffee. And I love it! I love the smell, I love the taste and I feel great after. Oh, babe, you are just like your father (he loves coffee) and it already shows.

Small addition to the Fathers Day gifts

I took a liberty and gave daddy a small gift from your name, babe. Take a look:
I saw this mug today and fell in love with it. Your daddy’s mug broke a couple of days ago. So no questions I got this new one for him. It’s the same size, the same shape, the same colour. It’s even better though. It’s a “daddy’s” mug.
So for our tea time tonight, I will serve daddy’s tea in his new mug!

Knifes for the future chef!

Our daddy is having his skill test for his new job today. He quit F-bar right before we left for our honeymoon. First of all, because he felt he learnt everything he could learn there. Second, he got tired of that schedule: 5 days a week in a non-stop pace (he would have 5 min to grab something  to eat). Besides, the schedule was not stable: one day it would be 7 hours of work, the other day – 12. And third, there was no social plan (no medical insurance, no pension plan). So before you come we wanted to make our life more stable and secure. And since I still do not have any legal status here in Canada that would be nice if he was working for a company providing family insurance plan. So that I could benefit from that.

So he applied for several very nice hotels.  But the one we wanted the most was Fairmont Queen Elisabeth. And guess where he is doing his test today? Fairmont Queen Elisabeth. This is one more confirmation to my life credo: if you really want anything, you’ll get it. So let’s hope he gets this job. Honestly, I don’t even doubt. He is a very good cook. Very passionate, very organised and extremely creative.
I’m sure he is going to give us good news about his new job soon. So to be prepared and to make this moment special I went to Monas (professional cooking supplies store) to get some new knifes for daddy. I knew he wanted those knifes. And I got them today!!!! Shhh, don’t tell daddy yet!
P.S. It’s a bad sign to give knifes as a gift.  You should always to ask some money for them. I am going to trade them for a $1.

Happy Farthers Day!

It was the first father’s day for your daddy yesterday! And as a present from me, I personally gave him a SPA pedicure including foot scrub and foot massage! So it was a relaxing evening spa session for him. His feet were like baby feet after such a treatments. He couldn’t believe how fresh and soft they were!!! Daddy seemed to be in daddy’s heaven. He slept like a baby that night:)))

I also went to OMNI hotel where I used to work (and where I met your daddy) to see my old friend Pierre. We used to spend a lot of time together last summer. It was not an easy period in my life and he gave me a lot of support at that time. And it was him who got me into horseback riding. He is 50 years old now. When he was younger he used to train horses for the competitions. So horses have always been his passion. Last summer/early fall he would take me horseback riding twice a week. I enjoyed that indeed. I fell in love with horses!  They give you so much energy. There is so much to learn from them. It became like a drug. But then winter came, your daddy and I became much closer. I would prefer spending time with your daddy to everything else. So Pierre and I slowly stopped seeing each other. Then he even stopped calling me not to “distract me from my boyfriend” (his words).
Pierre never had kids. So I was kind of daughter to him. Last year for the father’s day we went out to the restaurant and made a promise to make it a tradition. All this time while we were not talking I really wanted to change that and start talking and seeing him again. And I thought that Father’s day in this case would be the best moment. I went there prepared. I had made him a present – a glass sun catcher in a shape of a horse.
….Oh, he loved it! And he was so happy to see me. It was a real surprise! He was so happy for me and Vitali. And guess what, he offered to go horseback riding soon. I would love that! But there is a problem – would it be safe enough for you? Of course I wouldn’t trot or gallop. But..still…there are animals and even if you know them well, there can be unpredictable and there is always a chance of an accident. So should I go or not? Dilemma.

Boating with grandma and grandpa

Hello baby!

We had a fun day yesterday! We went boating with  your daddy’s grandparents.
First of all, I have to mention that fishing is granddaddy’s passion!!! As well as boating! He loves water and everything about water. And look at granddaddy’s  boat!!! This is his pride! This is his baby! When he got this boat, it was a regular motor fishing boat.  Ever since he’s been constantly changing the design of the boat. This year it looks like this:
He had been working on this boat all winter. He would spent all the evenings after work and weekends on his boat.  Where does so much energy come from, I wonder? This is truly amazing what he has done!

But our granny seems to hate this boat. And I can personally understand her as a woman. She is simply jealous. This boat is taking her husband away together with his money and energy. Besides she is scared of going on a boat, I think. Every summer they spend so much time boating. Sometimes they would just take a boat and leave for the entire weekend. They would stop on a small island and sleep on the boat. This is amazing to me! But they’ve had some stressful situations with this boat. Once they were caught in a big storm.  Or granddaddy likes to go very close to the big ships so the boat jumps the waves. Of course, it all makes he scared and stressed out. But she goes anyway just not to stay at home all by herself.

So yesterday we had a great-great day: boating, picnicking, fishing and laughing!!!

We did have some stress this time as well though. We stopped for a picnic and fishing on a small island. There were some big rocks where we “parked” the boat.

We were so tired after such a day! We just spent the evening lying in bed and watching movies. We watched “Last night” and “The way back”.
Having fun is hard work!

Celebrating 1 year anniversary at BOCATA

It was our one year anniversary today (daddy and I have been together for one year).

So we went to Bocata restaurant for this occasion.  It was a lovely evening in a cozy and elegant restaurant in Old Montreal.

   “ G U I N E S S ”P U L L E D – P O R C” T A R T I N E “

This was probably the best part of our dinner. It was an appetizer – sort of open pork sandwich accompanied by celery salad. Good size portion. The bread is perfectly toasted. A perfect ensemble of the ingredients. Delicious!

   “ L U F A  F A R M S  H E I R L O O M  T O M A T O  S A L A D “

This appetizer was also very remarkable. Made of 4 different types of organic tomatoes brought from Lufa farm. I had never tasted so tasteful, so fresh tomatoes in Montreal. Highly recommend to try!

Baby’s first live concert. Rihanna

Guess what babe?! You went to your first concert! Daddy and I went to see Rihanna live at Bell Center. The only thing, babe, I hope the loud music didn’t harm you in any way.
I did some research after the show. And frankly speaking, had I done it before, I probably wouldn’t go. Doctors say that the occasional concert wouldn’t harm the baby, but it’s still  not recommended.
“What’s more, loud music causes your body to produce stress hormones that can make your heart race, and that isn’t good for the baby either. It’s important to stay as healthy as possible when you’re pregnant, and when you put this kind of stress on your body you’re not providing the ideal environment for a developing baby.”
On the pregnancy forum everyone was saying their live music concert experience during pregnancy didn’t harm their babies in any way.
Well, honey, I hope you are fine and you enjoyed the show the same way I did. I love you!!!
