Family photo books

When I got married, I promised to myself that at the end of every year I will make a photo book about our family life that passing year. Apart from the yearly photo books, I also create books for every trip or a big event.

I am a big fan of photo books! Today, when we all have digital cameras, we tend to snap thousands of pictures, upload them in our computers and forget about them, right?! NO doubt, it’s much more convenient with a digital camera: you don’t have to worry about the mistakes and wasting the film and spending money on developing the film rolls and printing the images. We just snap and forget!

And we usually keep all the images we take. How could I possibly erase any pictures of my precious one, even if it’s blurry, or the eyes are out of focus, or the head is cut off a bit? So we just keep them all. But then, when we decide to look at them, there is so many, that we just don’t have enough patience, nor time to go through them all. So the best images of our everyday lives just get lost.

So my advise: take time to go through all the images you took over the past month/week/year and choose the images you like the most. Put them in a separate folder. And the most important, do it regularly.

Secondly, print your best images! Imagine, you have a beautiful photo book with your most favorite images on your coffee table! It will always catch your visitors eyes! And you, yourself, will always want to look through it from time to time.
